A history of Versace
This lavish fashion label was founded by Gianni Versace in the late 70s with a Milan boutique. Its popularity was immediate and it quickly expanded into one of the world’s leading international fashion houses offering clothing, accessories, fragrances, cosmetics and home furnishings. When Gianni Versace was shot dead in 1997, Gianni’s sister Donatella Versace became creative director and his elder brother Santo became CEO.
