A history of Miu Miu
Prada is one of the most lusted after Italian fashion labels and specialises in luxury goods for both men and women. The company was founded in 1913 by Mario Prada as a leather goods shop. Today’s Creative Director of Prada, Miuccia Prada, Mario’s granddaughter, inherited the company in 1978 and since then she has stamped her own creativity on the company completely.
In 1992, Miuccia Prada launched the diffusion line Miu Miu. The younger sister to the Prada label produces fashion and accessories much in keeping with the Prada style and ethos, yet there is more freedom to experiment outside the parameters of the Prada heritage, creating a youthful edge to the brand.
