A history of Christian Dior
The great, late Christian Dior was born in France in the early 1900s and started his career by sketching dresses that were picked up and loved by famous actresses of the day. Off the back of this, by 1946, Dior had his first salon in Paris. His design for women focused on accentuating femininity and beauty with clothes and accessories. When Dior died unexpectedly in 1957, he was already considered the master by most in fashion. The house of Dior continued to grow and prosper and dominate the fashion industry with new lines building on Dior’s original visionary style.
