What do I need to order new glasses from WantGlasses?
All you will need is an up-to-date prescription. This can be obtained by any local optician. If you already have a prescription you would like us to use, please make sure it is no more than two years old.
Where can I get a prescription for my glasses?
Simply go to any High Street optician and ask for an eye test. They will test your eyes, and give you a copy of your recommend prescription. Use that prescription to fill in our online prescription form when purchasing your glasses.
Can I use my contact lens prescription to order prescription glasses?
Unfortunately not contact lens prescriptions vary differently to regular glasses prescriptions. You must have a regular lens prescription less than two years old to purchase glasses.
Will my payment be secure?
We use the most up-to-date encrypted security on the market. All of your details are safe and secure. For more information about our encryption system, please feel free to click here.
Can I send you a cheque if I don’t want to leave my details online?
WantGlasses a highly secure site, but if you prefer, you can send us a cheque. Due to clearing times for cheques, your glasses may take longer to arrive.
What if I accidentally give you the wrong prescription details?
We can change a prescription, but only up to a certain point. If you realise you had given us the wrong information, please tell us straight away. We process orders very quickly, and once we’ve glazed your glasses, they can’t be altered. If you need to get a hold of us, all of our contact information is in our Contact Us section.
What if I accidentally order the wrong frames?
If you accidentally order the wrong frames or prescription, please phone or email us straight away. Please remember it is important to check and re-check your information before you send in your order. Make sure to print off a copy of your order information, found in your confirmation email.
Can I keep my existing frames, and just order new lenses?
Definitely. We can re-glaze your existing frames with new replacement lenses. Please email us for more details.
Where can I get an order form?
You can send us your order on our downloadable mail-order form which is available from our website. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
I can’t read or understand my prescription
If you can’t understand your prescription, you can send or fax a copy of it to us on 0808 280 0317. Please ensure that it is a copy of your prescription that is sent, as we cannot take responsibility for lost prescriptions due to the post.
