What do I need from my optician to claim my NHS voucher through WantGlasses.co.uk?
You will need to ask your optician for your fully completed GOS3 Optical Voucher, your optician is entitled to give you this as long as you qualify for NHS help.

Who can claim NHS Optical Vouchers?
You can get vouchers towards the cost of glasses or contact lenses if you:
- are under 16
- are aged 16, 17 or 18 in full-time education
- need complex lenses
- are getting, or your partner gets:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (Incapacity Benefit or Disability Living Allowance do not count as they are not income-related)
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
- are entitled to, or named on, a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate
- are named on a valid HC2 certificate
How much will the NHS pay towards my new glasses?
The actual value of your NHS Optical Voucher depends on the power of your spectacle prescription. This is indicated by a code (A, B, E, or F) this information can be found on the front of your GOS3 Optical Voucher form.

Now check the reverse of your NHS Voucher form. In some cases, a Full Value voucher cannot be issued, and will be reduced by the amount shown on the back of the GOS3 form.
How to use your voucher
- Order your glasses in the normal way, by selecting the frames and lenses you wish to purchase.
- You will then need to post us your completed NHS Optical Voucher
- We will then contact you to confirm
